Stone is one of the most abundant resources found almost everywhere in the game. It is useful for base building as it is the third strongest material to build with. It can also be used to make Stone Tools.
Location[]
You can obtain stone by mining: Small Rock, Large Rock, Petrified Trees, and Feather Stone. Like wood, destroying structures and their rubble is another way to obtain stone. You can also find stone in Caves. It can also be obtained by defeating players who have stone tools in their bag.
Usage[]
- Can be used for crafting Stone tools, such as the Stone Pickaxe, making it needed to efficiently progress through the game at the start.
- For defense, you can use it for a Stone Wall, Stone Gate, and the Tower. These are generally useful as they can take a few hits even from high-tier tools before being destroyed.
- The Grinder is created using Stone and 1 Stick, which is needed to make Grain Mush, which is used to make a decent food, Bread.
- It is the only ammunition for the Sling, a useful beginner weapon and even a useful supporting weapon in battles with people even using God Armor/Void Armor.
- A decent amount of Stone is needed to make the Void Gate, which is used to get a powerful gear set and unlock Voodoo and spells.
Trivia[]
- It is strangely slightly easier to get than wood because small rocks drop 4 stone while a tree, having the same health, drops 2 wood, making it easier to get larger quantities of Stone.
- Sometimes it is referred to as "rocks" instead of Stone, which may confuse other players as a Rock (the tool/weapon) is another thing entirely.
- It has a useless but presumed to soon be more useful counterpart, Obsidian, which can be found in the Void Dimension and brought back to the Overworld.
- Petrified Trees look more white-ish, so they technically should drop more paler stone, which might make it look strange getting dark grey stone from pale petrified trees/bushes.
